The Africa Centre of Excellence for Innovative Rodent Pest Management and Biosensor Technology(ACE IRPM & BTD) collaboration with the Department of Wildlife at SUA has been able to welcome undergraduate students from the University of Antwerp for a tropical field school here in Tanzania.

These students will participate in a three-week field school, guided by ACE IRPM & BTD in partnership with the Department of Wildlife.

                       

Immerse yourself in an unforgettable academic and cultural experience. This tropical field school provides undergraduate student with a unique opportunity to gain hands on field experience in the heart of East Africa.

The program designed to provide student with a comprehensive understanding of tropical ecosystems, wildlife conservation, and sustainable development practices. During the field school, the students will have the opportunity to explore the diverse landscapes of Tanzania, from lush rainforest to vibrant savannas, and engage with local communities to understand the challenges and opportunity for conservation and community development.

                       

In implementing the project’s goals to strengthen collaboration with institutions both within and outside the country,ACE IRPM & BTD, in cooperation with the Department of Wildlife, has been able to welcome undergraduate students from the University of Antwerp to come and study in Tanzania.

The main objective of this collaboration is to enhance the project sustainability by open up other research opportunities, including seeking other projects to expand the scope of research.
